As you may have noticed, the blog has a new look! My ever-changing mind cannot handle the idea of long-term commitment to a particular website theme so I decided to switch things up.
Anyways, I am so thrilled to be back on the blog and writing again. This month-long hiatus has allowed me to reflect on all the beautiful memories made this past school year. I’m amazed that it’s already summertime and how fast this year went by. A year filled with both ups and downs, but nevertheless, I am grateful for this time to relax.
To fill you in on some life updates since the last post; I have completed my junior year of high school, (so brutal, I’m happy it’s over) experienced prom, had my end-of-year spring performance for ballet, started summer classes to get ahead for senior year, went vegetarian, cried a little, and laughed a lot.
I would usually be writing on a daily basis, but life and frenetic schedules have kind of steered me away from writing altogether. I forget how writing makes me feel, and I forgot how important it is to just sit down and let the pen and paper and thoughts go. Sometimes I feel like I have to be inspired or “ready” to write, but writing is also about scribbling whatever I want. You’d be amazed at how scribbling can lead to an exploration of creativity and in turn, inspire more ideas.
Although I am back for this short update, I’ll be taking another hiatus from the blog since I’ll be in Seattle, Washington next month for ballet. I will continue to write little glimmers here and there, but my schedule will be very busy so I won’t have time to publish on the blog. I’ll be back very soon, and I can’t wait to share more with you. Happy pride and happy summer darlings. ✦
